| Kesuk - Male - 16 - Waterbender Kesuk rolled his eyes at Zasi's little crack. He quickly picked up his pace to run beside her. "The only problem with that is that you're here chasing down supposed refugee-firebenders too. Think a little. Now, are we actually heading somewhere, or are you just running in a random direction and hoping to run into a person who's actively running away from us?" Since the two Fire Nation rogues had been sprinting away from their pursuers and thus making a noticeable trail through the forest, Kesuk starting looking for a place where this path split off from the one they were on. ((I read back through the chat logs, and to answer Josh's question, I'd say Kesuk probably has tracking experience, at least in the snow, from hunting in the south pole. And Kohaku was running, so it'd be an easy trail to spot. So, yeah, Kesuk could probably track them/find their path. I can make that happen if you want?)) |

| Zasi - Airebender - 16 - Tages//Kesuk "Do you need someone to talk to?" - Zasi: Always on the side of peace
Zasi smirked as Kesuk caught up to her. He spoke, making note of what the waterbender was talking about. She slowed down a bit. "So what you're saying is we are going the wrong way? Well I'm pretty sure that Lí, or whatever that earthbender ((Ky)) had called him, was going this way earlier. Should we backtrack then? Maybe there is a different trail back a ways. When I chased that waterbender down, I didn't see anyone still running in front of him." Zasi slowed down to a walk before completely stopping. She thought for a moment. They could actually be going the wrong way. Zasi turned, looking back towards the path. "Do you know of any other trails around this area?" She wasn't exactly in a hurry, but it could be easy to get lost in a forest like this. The faster they were on track the better. She enjoyed Kesuk's company, but not enough to spend the whole evening lost in a woods searching for strangers with him. It just wasn't on her to-do list. |

| Kesuk - Male - 16 - Waterbender Kesuk shook his head. "There shouldn't be any other trails in this area. You're right, the other earthbender was heading this way. Let's just keep looking. But slow down. We don't want to miss it if the trail splits. And if we come across them and it turns out he's a firebender as well, we don't want to startle them and cause a fight to break out by suddenly sprinting onto the scene." ((Haha, no idea what I'm doing anymore, I'm confused, how's this? XD)) |

| K O H A K U - Male - 17 - Firebender It didn't seem like he had much of an option to refuse so Kohaku bit back a sigh and started to walk forwards, hands out like the earthbender had instructed him to. He assumed the earthbender would lead him back to the refugee camp, as he didn't think they had a prison just waiting for stray firebenders that happened to wander onto the island. At least he hoped they didn't. Frustration welled up inside of him--all he had wanted was to get enough food to last him some time while he traveled even further away from the Fire Nation. Not that he thought anyone in the refugee camp would believe that story. |

| Seijin - Female - 18 - Firebender - Tags: Kyori, Yotem. "Just since earlier today," Seijin answered in response to the airbender's question. Shit.., she cursed in her head when the earthbender spoke. Another person had ran after them, and this Li is probably after Kohaku right now. She sighed, hoping he reached safety. This was all kind of her fault for stepping into camp in the first place. Seijin glanced between the refugees as they conversed and frowned as the earthbender asked the waterbender to help take herself back to camp. He literally looked like he was ready to beat her to death and beyond 5 minutes ago. This would not be a fun walk back to camp. She stood there, arms crossed, awaiting for them to un-shackle her.

| Zasi - Airebender - 16 - Tages//Kesuk "Do you need someone to talk to?" - Zasi: Always on the side of peace
Zasi slowed down and decided to help on the search. She knew Kesuk was right about not wanting to alarm anyone. She paid quite a bit of attention to her surroundings as she searched for the fork in the path. Zasi followed the path until she stumbled over a root. Putting her weight on the tree to balance her again, she glanced down to look at the root. Close to it were footprints. "Kesuk, I think I found the path. Should go down it?" She glanced up to where Kesuk was. She wasn't really sure what to expect if they went down the trail, so she was slightly hesitant. She shook her head at herself. You are willing to jump in front of a kid with knives, but you don't want to go down a path? Zasi thought to herself. She turned to Kesuk again. "Actually, let's head down. What's the worst that could happen? A firebender on the loose? Been there done that. I think we can take on anything." Zasi was mostly talking to convince herself. She gave an optimistic smile and started towards the path.

| Kesuk - Male - 16 - Waterbender Kesuk glanced down, seeing the clear tracks leading away from the trail they were currently on. Yeah, that was almost certainly it. "Indeed, that seems to be it. Good eye." Zasi suggested they go down this new path, and he nodded in agreement. That would be the best course of action. She seemed slightly nervous about it, though. Why? She had done plenty of other, stupider things in the short time he had known her. Like jumping in the middle of a fight between a firebender and a murderous waterbender. "Don't worry so much, you've got me here, too," he tried reassuring her. He wasn't exactly good at the whole comforting thing, though. He didn't quite understand it or why it was necessary. Nevertheless, he'd tried. Kesuk followed Zasi down the path, keeping a close watch on their surroundings so they wouldn't get lost and so he would see if anyone else was nearby. If the second Fire Nation refugee was wearing red clothing, that, at least, should make them easier to spot. |

| Lí Ren - Male - 19 - Earthbender - On the trail back towards camp Fortunately, it seemed Lí's instincts about this little firebender were mostly accurate when rather than try to fight back or run off, he sighed dejectedly and began making his way back up the path they had just come from. Lí did note however, that the young man did not appear to be particularly frightened, panicked, or desperate, but rather just resigned to what was happening and exasperated with the situation. Once again, this didn't seem appropriate for someone who was part of a belligerent military force, but he couldn't afford not to be careful. After walking for some time, Lí's ears picked up the sound of approaching footsteps and voices... well, really just one voice, but that one was easily doing the work of two. "Shhh! Quick, get off the trail, someone's coming!" Lí pulled the firebender off to the side of the path and into a bush with him, but as the voice and footsteps grew nearer, Lí was able to see who was coming and he recognized two people he'd seen earlier in the camp: a female air nomad and a male water tribe warrior. With relief, he hauled himself and the firebender out of the bush and back onto the path. Waving to the two approaching, Lí called out, "Hey, over here!" |

| K O H A K U - Male - 17 - Firebender Kohaku decided that silence was his ally and didn't edge in a word otherwise as the earthbender roughly handled him, pulling him into the bushes only to drag him out a moment later to point him out to two other people. He fixed his eyes onto the ground, scuffing the dirt with the tip of his shoe. Where had he gone wrong? Of course he knew the answer to that--going against the Fire Nation, whether they knew he was a runaway from the army or not. His mouth set into a grim line as he watched the other two approach, hoping that they didn't hold more hatred towards firebenders than his captor--he had gotten lucky, he supposed, as the earthbender hadn't caved in his head with the boulder the moment he saw him. But that didn't mean that his two friends would agree with his choice and Kohaku knew he could be a very dead runaway in the next few moments. |

| Zasi - Airebender - 16 - Tages//Kesuk "Do you need someone to talk to?" - Zasi: Always on the side of peace
Zasi walked ahead of Kesuk as they traveled down the path. She didn't know where they were going exactly, but she tried to make sure to stay on the path. As long as they were on the path, there was no way to get lost, right? Zasi began humming to herself a song she had learned long ago. She smiled as she remembered when she learned that song. She had never really had a mother, but everyone in the temple took care of each other. No one was left out. The children would all play games and sing a song. Zasi had always loved the times the children gathered to sing. Pulling herself out of her daydream, she turned to face Kesuk. "So what are the Water Tribes like? Are they different than Air Temples? I'm sure every place is different, but I mean what was growing up like? Did you play with other children or sing songs? When I was growing up, we would chase around winged lemurs and try and see how far we could get them to fly. Oh there was even one time-"Zasi burst up laughing before she could continue. She calmed back down and tried to continue the story, but was cut off by a voice. Turning her attention to the voice, she saw who she assumed were the other refugee and Lí. She turned to Kesuk. "Well I guess we will have to continue that story later." |
