Seijin - Female - 18 - Firebender - Tags: Yotem, Zasi, Kyori

Seijin took a breath of relief she darted past the rocks, thinking she may be able to lose her hunters. Suddenly though, her feet slipped out from under her, sending her body straight into the ground. Her legs were soaked, A waterbender! Seijin had to stay calm and act fast, or else she'd be dead. Seijin quickly spun onto her back and locked her gaze onto the waterbender. He was not going to take her life today. She channeled her inner chi as her hands filled with flames. She was about dodge his attack by propelling herself away with fire when she felt a strong wind blow out her bending. An airbender too? What the hell?, she thought. Suddenly another figure emerged, screaming questions at her, but when she attempted to flee her feet would not budge. Oh my god, its a freaking bender party, she grumbled in her head. She glared down the earthbender for a few moments, and then sighed deeply. "You're not very bright, are you?" She scoffed, waving her free, full of fire arms at the earthbender. She didn't attack her, though. It was just a harmless firey wave to prove a point. She did look around an analyzed the others who were there, too. Even with the airbender on her side, she was outnumbered if she tried to escape. "I'm refugee like you, and you're lucky I am otherwise you'd be toast."

"I'm well aware you can bend fire," Ky scoffed. "I'm more concerned with you running off to your damn Fire Nation army and telling them about our camp." Kyori's stomach turned with anger at the firebender's cocky comment about toast. "You've got a lot of nerve for someone who's surrounded by three benders and shackled to the ground," she spat.

"Do you need someone to talk to?" - Zasi: Always on the side of peace
Zasi jumped when an earthbender came out of nowhere shouting. Zasi took a step back when the ground came up and stopped the firebender in her steps. She heard Kesuk call and, and she turned her attention to him. She glanced back to the earthbender and sighed. She knew she was in over her head. She glanced at the firebender and gave a sad smile. It was Zasi's way of saying 'sorry about this. I don't really know them either.' She then listened to the firebender and felt excitement bubble in her chest. So she had been right! The firebender was just a refugee. She took a few steps back, wanting to be near enough to talk but also not in the direct line of fire. She glanced at Kesuk, glad he was there but also mildly surprised. He had seemed so uninterested. She simply cocked her head at him in confusion before returning her attention to the situation at hand. "Running to the Fire Nation? If she was really a soldier, why would she be the only one? They don't usually send just one person. I mean, on top of that, this isn't really an island the Fire Nation would want, is it?" Zasi glanced at the firebender before turning to the defensive earthbender. "She doesn't exactly seem.. fit to be a soldier either." Zasi noted the calm (ish) attitude and way she talked. For all they knew, the girl could be telling the truth.

K O H A K U - Male - 17 - Firebender

Kohaku sprinted through the forest, lungs burning in his chest as he ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He spared a glance behind him again, but Seijin wasn't there anymore, and he realized she must have gone in a separate direction from him. Kohaku yelped as he stumbled over uneven ground, cursing quietly as he threw out his hands to catch himself. His hands were bleeding when he stood up again but he couldn't care at the moment. He forced himself to start running again, despite not hearing anyone really chasing him.
He squeezed his eyes shut and began to slow down to a quick jog, chest heaving. Kohaku could only hope that Seijin had gotten away as well. Kohaku stopped, legs burning. He turned in a circle where he stood, trying to think which way to go next. One thing was certain--he needed to get off this island, and fast.

Seijin was genuinely relieved when the airbender intervened in the conversation, and gave her a small appreciative nod, though she frowned slightly at her 'not looking like a soldier' comment. What was that supposed to mean? Was she scrawny? But anyway, she knew the testimonies from a stranger would not save her from this situation. Seijin definitely did not want to divulge her whole life story just to convince these people not to harm her, but she would do what she must. She was never the best at trying to talk to people, so she took a deep long breath before starting to speak, and hoped for the best. "Listen, I'm just trying to travel East. The part of the Fire Nation that's continuing the war can go burn in hell, alright? You must understand, the real first nation the Fire Nation attacked in this war was itself!" She paused for a moment, for she really did not want to talk about her family's murder. "...I've seen some terrible, terrible shit, as I'm sure you all have. It's not a one way street."

Lí Ren - Male - 19 - Earthbender - Tag: Kohaku

Shortly after realizing that he was following two different pairs of tracks, Lí noticed that one set began to diverge from the other. He followed one set while the Waterbender followed this other. This split struck him as odd though. Knowing that they were outnumbered, wouldn't two hostile people want to stick together to increase their chances of winning in a fight? But then, he heard a loud crash ahead that told him his prey had stumbled. With his thoughts beginning to level out a bit, he slowed to a stealthy walk until through the thick brush he could just make out another person in Fire Nation garb picking himself up off the ground. The person began to sprint again, but rather than try to keep up with him, Lí did his best to follow him silently, so that he could see where this guy was going. Eventually, Lí caught up to the fire nation guy and was able to get a better look at him. He was surprised to see the guy just standing there, looking very lost, and a little bit desperate. He was a very small, fragile-looking young man with pale skin and black hair This certainly didn't look like a scout from the military, that was for sure. Much like Lí hid himself from the animals he hunted in the past, he stayed just far enough from Fire Nation Guy so that the brush between them hid him from view; now he patiently waited to see what this intruder's next move would be.

(Kemi, we hadn't heard what happened to Kohaku up till that point, but as you can see, I gotchu fam Thumb Up

Kohaku took a deep breath, focusing on steadying himself. He'd need to find some kind of harbor and a ship he could stowaway on again to leave this island. It didn't matter where he went, as long as he was away from the refugee camp full of people itching for his blood and didn't head back to the Fire Nation. Luckily I'm on an island, he thought bitterly. As long as he got out of the forest, he could walk around the perimeter of the island until he happened to come upon a ship. He just hoped the island wasn't large enough for this to take days.
He threw his chances to the wind and turned left, ignoring the path now that he knew where it lead to. Kohaku fought through the underbrush with an irritated grumble, praying he got out of the forest quickly.

Lí - Male - 19 - Earthbender - Tag: Kohaku

Lí watched Fire Nation Guy from afar and thought over his options. He could try to take this guy down now and interrogate him. That could be risky, but he would have surprise on his side, and the man didn't look like much of a fighter anyway, so he should be able to do it. However, if he did do that, he would learn nothing, as he would have no reason to believe any words that came out of the guy's mouth. Lí decided that the wisest course of action would be to tail Fire Nation Guy quietly for as long as he could, and hopefully through observation, he could learn more about his true identity and purpose.

"I'm not interested in hearing your sob story, Firebender." Kyori said with disinterest. She considered Zasi's comment about the firebender possibly being a refugee due to the observation that she was alone. "Are you traveling with anyone else?" Kyori questioned the girl she was holding hostage. All of a sudden, Kyori realized that her own party of refugees was missing a person. She turned her head towards the waterbender (Yotem) and quietly mouthed the name "Lí?" with questioning on her face. Ky knew for a fact that she saw Lí running ahead of her, following thiks hostile waterbender as they chased down the fire girl they now had in possession.

(( Okay we gotta get rolling with discovering/capturing Kohaku! ))

K O H A K U - Male - 17 - Firebender

Kohaku struggled forwards a few steps before he stopped, realizing how stupid he was being. He shook his head, annoyed at himself that it took so long to realize that he should probably try to find a high vantage point to see which way he should be heading; and being in a forest, there was nothing but high vantage points. Kohaku worked his way to a tree with relatively low hanging branches and started to climb up it, the rough bark making his already bleeding hands scream with pain but he gritted his teeth and continued to head up, stopping several times to catch his breath.
