Books I love and suggest:

  • The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy (Shiver, Linger, Forever, and an extra, Sinner) by Maggie Steifvater - OHGODILOVE  Sobbing
  • The Scorpio Races by Maggie Steivater - About an island with celtic water horses to put it bluntly. Slow at first, but slaps you in the face about half way through and wakes you up and then leaves you thinking about it for days on end. Ugh.
  • It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini - A story about depression driven from success in high school, a very good read.
  • Go Ask Alice by Anonymous - Really opens your eyes about drugs and personal struggles, written in a diary/journal POV.
  • The Program - Oh god where do I start. It takes place in the future where teen suicide is a wild epidemic, and it's believed that depression is "contagious" and those who are thought to have it are immediately taken into "The Program" by the police where their memories are forever wiped clean. IT'S SO GOOD ;A;
  • Looking For Alaska by John Green - A really great book with intense scenes, action, romance, and humor, and depression.
  • Paper Towns by John Green - A damn good book about finding yourself (wayyyy better than the movie may I add).

I've heard of a few, but was also busy reading different books so I never had time.

Some books I also enjoy are:

The Wolves of Beyond- Kathryn Lasky (a series of seven books about a deformed wolf who was raised by a bear, it's really hard to explain without spoilers)
Seekers- Erin Hunter (I guess I had a weird obsession with animal pov books? This one is super good! It's about a black bear, polar bear, and brown bear meeting up and trying to find a place they can belong. It's really eye opening to global warming and deforestation and such.)
Gracelings- Kristin Cashore (Oh man this book. It's about people and having heterochromia (two different colors). Those people are born with special skills)
The Lost Conspiracy- Frances Hardinge (ok so this one is really hard to explain, and is quite large. I was so addicted to it I didn't sleep for 48 hours during exams in high school just to read it. It's so good)

I'm sure I have a ton more, but these are all I can think of at the moment!

LOL GALAXY That's like me but with Star Wars books (kind of. i don't read much but when i do its usually for school, Star Wars, or 1984 by George Orwell)

Hyperbole and a Half is an excellent book and i recommend it to all. I believe its the origin of that "Eat ALLL the cake! Clean ALL the things etcetc" meme, or at least by the same girl who created it. It's really funny and with a read.

i might post more of if think of em.

Guess who is re-reading the warrior cat series in order to re-familiarize herself with the warrior ways for our new site RP? (and low key is also dissassociating herself from stress, therefore reverting herself/going back to a time where things were much simpler?)

THIS GAAAAAAAL. //killme

Guess who's reading so much Shakespeare it's ridiculous?? This gaaaal.

It's for class, lol. We're reading a play a week, currently on Midsummer Night's Dream. It's actually pretty fun.
